At some point and time we need to examine the areas of persistency in our lives and how productive they may be. When I look to the things that I am persistently doing on a daily basis I have to wonder if they are serving a benefit or are they causing me to continuously separate myself from my true spirit. As we approach a changing season in with the weather I take time to refresh and renew analyzing the circumstances and persistence in my life. What needs to be changed will be change only to leave the remain to look very new as it continues to thrive.

Purpose
I am currently reading a book that speaks about the true authenticity of self and concentrates on the growth developing because of a need to define our purpose in life. I agree with this connection because I believe it is necessary to determine your purpose as to guiding your life. Determining your purpose can be a journey that stretches a lifetime when carefully drawn plans are created and followed.
Take a moment and develop your purpose...

Achievement
Right now I want you to take a moment and outline your latest achievements in the past week. Take about 5 minutes to jot down exactly what comes to mind when you think of yourself and your own personal achievements. It doesn't matter how small or how large as long as you jot them down with confidence because the achievements belong to you.
After you have completed that take another 5 minutes to write out the achievements of someone you admire. Think about the people you work around or come into contact with on a regular basis. What is it that this person or persons have accomplished that deserve recognition and acknowledgment from you?
Once you have finished both tasks make a phone call to the person you admire and share with them your achievements for the past week and tell them specifically what you wrote about them. This process alone will create a force-field of greatness that cannot be penetrated by anything but more appreciation.
As I complete this blog for the evening I say to you thank you for reading and I truly appreciate everything about you.
Love you all!

Making A Plee for Living Life!
Humans complicating the simplest things that life has to offer. We have constantly place images and material things at our daily forefront of accomplishments. Media images of what we should look like, how we should dress, what we should say, and how we should feel are just ploys to further mask the true you inside.
No instruction manual is provided for us when we are born or is it? We are born naked into the world after removal of our nutrient supply from our mothers that transported multiplying cells from our fathers. We take a gasp at the air supply and begin to use our bodily functions immediately. Our brains instinctively tell our bodies to rest after the journey of great travels. It reminds us that nourishment still comes from our mothers until we are strong enough to find food on our own. We innately know that survival is temporarily dependent on our connection with others, but totally based upon our own will to move on. Our voices are heard loudly as the cries and whimpers of our needs are calculated into a receiving benefit. Our bodily waste system is regularly depositing things that no longer serve us, and we have no desire to keep it inside.
So how do we continue on through life moving further and further away from our natural being. We hide behind our clothes as if to say our physical structure is not worthy of display. Our worth becomes the value of the label not the magnificent creations and automatic works of our biological system. We are fed false energy by the substitute from our mother in the forms of other animals and chemically created products when we remove the natural process of nursing our young. We transfer that responsibility of providing nourishment to outside sources that are typically not natures gifts, but yet a byproduct of another living creature. This instantly makes us disenfranchised with our mothers as our cries and whimpers go unanswered or transmitting falsified truths. We hold on to the waste in most instances with a hope that we will some how changes its outcome. The question is why do we resist natural changes in an attempt to change someone or something else?
As I leave you with this thought I say we must research the manual of life by going back to the simple basics and capturing the greatness within. I pledge today to be so strong that my peace of mind is filled with the knowledge that I am forever learning how to be my true self in a world of contradictory scenes. My pathway is through love! Enjoy!

Mastery
Each day we embark on a quest to master this thing that is called life. When I wake each morning I begin the process of connecting with my inner spirit through a series of meditation exercises that require focus. My goal is to be proficient in mastering the deeper connection to my inner voice so that I may hear the guidance necessary for my life.
I continue to the next step of expressing gratitude for the day ahead and in relations to the greatness that has already occurred. I enjoy the growing daybreak as the rooms gradually get lighter and lighter. After a yoga stretch or two I marvel in the fact that I have a child to wake shortly after I have affirmed the greatest thing I know that I am here for a purpose and I will create the most magnificent day of my life.
To touch her shoulder in an attempt to wake her little sleeping soul is a feat in itself as I am usually greeted with the grouchiness of not being able to do exactly what her mind intends to do, continue to sleep. Usually at this point I am tackling her spirit to get her out of bed to start the day of queens. Sometimes the music playing in the background helps her to become more attentive.
Packing my lunch, preparing her breakfast, and escaping out the door is an exciting moment as we are in a hurry to get the famous bus stop. My thoughts often are, "How do I end up hurrying when I have been up since 4 a.m.?" The answer can be attributed to the fact that I have yet to master the end routine because I am still learning that I will never master anyone else...even if I did birth this child :)
Mastery is a process that is continuously happening. When you think you have mastered the plan there is always more to be learned...Never think the journey is over once you feel that you have mastered the process...I promise you will continue to learn more.
Enjoy!

Celebrations!
This weekend was filled with love in the air and lots of gratitude being expressed for the representation of what we call Mother's Day. I often wonder how does the rest of the world celebrate motherhood, and find it interesting that as a western society we pick single days in the year to make a particular role or event significant. Isn't there a better way to do this I ask?
After the Christmas holiday season I questioned why everyone can be so jolly and happy just at this time of year when everyone has a choice to celebrate life everyday in the same way. It was then that I officially declared to celebrate everyday like it is a holiday. Each day is created to live the best life isn't that enough of a reason to celebrate. Who said we have to wait until our birthdays or graduations to have festivities and gifts? I enjoyed my day with my mother and family on the "designated" day of the year to celebrate. I especially enjoyed watching my daughter prepare for creating a gift and keeping it a surprise for me on this day.
We, as a family, spend lots of time together playing a Money Game, watching the Lakers win or lose, just plain lounging around the house. Isn't this a celebration?
Let us step out of the box and create a new habit making everyday a holiday worthy of celebration. Tomorrow plan a birthday party of the next two weeks. After all, everyday is a new day is born so why not celebrate. Send a gift to someone now instead of waiting to give it to someone on Christmas, which is a day that is designated to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. What are we getting gifts for? Better yet, why do we have trees in our houses, and believe it is snowy when Jesus was born in the desert?
Celebrate each and every day you are not promised tomorrow so do the best you have with what you've got right now!

Procrastination
The word procrastination has crept upon me this evening and of a few evening of late. I have spent hours playing a mindless game that has taken my time away from being productive in other areas. I must manage my goals and move accordingly and schedule this leisure time of "game" playing to find a connection to my overall well-being.
In order to remove an area of procrastination from my life I cut out the television in most instances except to enjoy an episode of The Game on the CW every Friday night. I occasionally peak at the Lakers to check on a few players and their success. With great success I have shifted my activities to spending more time with my daughter, reading books, writing books, and a host of other things I enjoy.
As a way of finding procrastination more productive in my life I began to notice the thoughts that run through my head. Mostly chatter from conversations throughout the day develop in my mind. The conversations that lack inspiration I am able to change the chattering noise in my mind to a positive affirmation so that I don't linger in that moment of wonder and why? This act alone changes my focus to a happier place as I am beginning to take great care for myself and embrace others for just who they are without mentally changing them into who I want them to become.
So is procrastination a benefit in some way? I will say yes, only because it reminds me that I need to get to it (hence the late hour for this post).

Authenticity
I am currently reading a great book called, "Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken," and it really has my mind open to the thoughts of who is my authentic self. With the excessive advertising and media displays of what life is to be for all I wonder how much of who we think we ought to be really is who we truly are?
Let's take a few questions to see where you may be in the process of being authentic:
1. How do you handle things that you are afraid or pose fear in your life?
2. Do you confidently express your feelings even in instances where others create a "negative" opinion?
3. Do you search for solutions or continue to ponder the problems?
4. Have you defined a plan for how you will live your life and then follow that plan with effective activities?
5. Is your life about having fun and enjoying each moment of your life?
6. What is your definition of freedom, peac, and happiness?
As you answer these questions and more I want you to think about how authentic are your answers.
Let me know your thoughts.
