Wealthy Beyond Measure

Today's affirmation on Facebook was relating to being wealthy. Coincidentally, I read a post that questioned the importance of love versus money. My reply to this thread made me think more indepth about wealth as in most instances we associate wealth with money. My personal thoughts about wealth expand far beyond the financial status of anyone. I believe that wealth encompasses the masses of people who are living a life of freedom; freedom is to love and live with maximum opportunity fearlessly.

So what is wealth beyond measure:

It is a wealth of positive thoughts that turn into actions creating a magnificent day.
It is a wealth of caring individuals who reach out to all the creatures of the world.
It is a wealth of resources that are available to all without any limitations
It is a wealth of peace as the creative thoughts are able to build bridges of understanding in all areas.

These are just a few of my significant thoughts of wealth. Beind wealthy has it's advantages.

Seizing the Moments of the Day

This weekend was filled with moments that were reflections of the past as we celebrated 20 years of connections to our high school experiences. Though it wasn't my class year's reunion it was an event that involved many people who have contributed to my past and helped to develop my future. What I noticed of my future is that I have limited myself on fully enjoying every moment in my life, and I wonder just how many others do the same exact thing each day.

We say we want success, peace, love, happiness, but how many of us really go after attaining those goals? How many of us really know what that moment feels like when you have reached a level of succes, enjoy the moment of peace, create a space for love, and truly live in happiness?

As I travel through my quest for the qualities above I have to question my motives and actions thus far in my life. As I analyze my own being I have operated in a place of taking care of others. Though this is a great thing to do, I realize that I continue to do it inspite of taking care of myself. I use the logic of life to determine just what direction to take instead of going with the flow. That flow is totally listening to my inner voice and making it be the monumental opinion of the day.

My mission is to reach ultimate happiness, and in order to stay on track I must perform my daily functions to making this happen. Please join me in being the best by creating the best in your life. I want to be connected with you in ways that uplift the world around me so that we may be the healers of the world.

Enjoy this life for it is the only one you have to live.

Infinite Possibilities

How many of us on any given day come up with infinite reasons not to be great? The reality is that most of the world operates on a very limited capacity for which our brains were designed to function. Each time you put a thought in your mind that you are not capable of doing something you are creating an enabling feeling that will bring upon more doubt and eventually a feeling of being incomplete.

See it is unnatural for us to think of what we are not able to do. I think this contributes to what has been called the teenage rebellion in Western Society. Some where in the making of laws and rules to govern the society limitations were created in the minds of the adults to "protect" us against the unknown. As a child I was able to ride my bike, skate, and do many activities without the aid of a helmet. I reflect upon friends and family who would use the rooftop of our homes to become acrobats of flight. I saw young men building motor bikes without any particular mapping other than watching the older "homie" putting it together. At age 7 I was walking home several blocks by myself and could navigate my way around the city to get to where I needed to go.

The freedom to create these moments were ways of connecting to the infinite possibilities; creating a way to do things without limitations. Once the limitations are apparent you begin to create a moment of lack from the natural state causing chaos in the mind. I say this to let you know that you are an infinite being. You have the capability to think beyond your present circumstance. It is with these thoughts that you can create a life beyond your imagined dream. There is wealth beyond measure available to you. Go out an get some by knowing that it is yours.

What's It All About

Each day I wake with the thoughts of gratitude for the great life that I am been blessed with in addition to the great things that are headed my way. Taking time to be thankful about each second and each breath keeps me grounded in what is next to come. As the excitement of the day continues on I am free to discover and reveal the precious gifts that are bestowed to me through the powers of great energy that we share in this universe. I am ever so amazed to see the reality and then realizing that I have the ability to change it with a simple tool called perception.

So, "What's It All About?" This great life is about taking advantage of the world around you. It is about believing in the infinite powers and abilities that you have and are in control of. It is about connecting to your inner soul and creating a space that is so sacred for just you and your God. It is about sharing the happiness in the world with others and limiting the negativity and doubt that forms in the minds of others.

The greatest sins of the world stem from lack, limitations, fear all of which are an absence of love. If you love what you do have then you are never lacking for anything. If you love what you are capable of doing at this very moment then you never place limitations because you know that you are doing your best and will continue to do so as long as you continue to do. When you love everything in the moment there is no room for fear.

Through my religious path I have been taught to be a "God" fearing child, and that I must be "forgiving" for my sins otherwise I will be prevented from entering Heaven some far away land. This has been a contradiction in what I felt was right and made sense to me. How can I fear something that I am suppose to be the image of? What are my sins and why would a God who is so loving creating them for me to feel pain and hurt? Where is Heaven and why do I have to wait to get there in addition what happens to all the other people who don't believe the same way I do? Yet when I am at a funeral or hear of someone's memorial service I have people saying that people that sinned are now in Heaven because they repented for their sins. If it were that simple to get to Heaven then what is the point to not sin until you are about to die?

I am so thankful to have arrived at the answers to my questions in a way that is simple and plain. As Pastor Toure' clearly transmitted the message on day in January 2009 I discovered that sins were doubt, fear, lack, and limitations all ultimately leading back to FEAR an absence of LOVE. God is within us all as we are created to be images of God that has an infinite wisdom and love for life. Every creature is of God and love and we living in Heaven or we create a hell that envelops us to be so fearful of living our truth.

I say this all to know that, "What It Is All About," is living in love with all things in life. Remove the doubt and fear and move in a way that creates the very best life there is on Earth as it is Heaven.

Seize this day!

No Two Days The Same

Recently the same theme has been following me through various media and communication channels. The theme is a reflection of the realization of the now moment. No matter what we do or how we try to keep things the same no two days or even moments for that matter are alike. In a personal matter I have been safely guided to remain in the now moment keeping my sanity and peace in a place that brings about only the goodness in every situation. Staying in the realized NOW moment keeps a focus of all of my needs being met. Something as simple as the single breath or pulse generated through our bodies is often taken for granted because of the concentration on remaining the same in the mediocre life of stability and comfort with the surroundings.

As children we explored every aspect of life. Each day became a new adventure into the unknown of everlasting learning. I hear my loved ones repeat the dread of going to work or the moments of a Monday approaching as it signifies the end of a weekend. When did we stop enjoying each and everyday that was given to us like we did as children? Was it when we succumb to the false belief that adulthood means to abandon childhood? Is it that we have been brainwashed into thinking that serving and connecting with others is some type of sinful act against our own being? Could it be that we are constantly denying ourselves from doing what we love to do in order to meet obligations that we created when we thought we lacked something to make us happy and to feel good about ourselves?

In this moment I challenge you to think about what make you happy. How much of what makes you happy is apart of your daily routine? For the next week, spend time doing more and more of what makes you happy as you strive to recreate a life of "child" like behaviors in the world. Create your day with the intent that tomorrow will be like no other because you are enjoying the day you have right now making it better than the one you had before.

Revelations

With the dawning of a new day approaching in just a few more hours I wanted to take time to recognize the many revelations that we often forget in each day. It takes a revelation to wake us up and activate our minds and bodies to perform functions such as showering, stretching, meditating, exercising, eating or whatever your routine consists of at that time. It takes a revelation to put your mental thoughts into gear that are aligned with your goals of the day. Yet the biggest revelation for me each day is that I am in control of my actions. The revelation is opening your eyes to the possibilities that will occur versus the distractions that we allow to impose on our lives.

We spend countless hours focusing on other people's revelations instead of creating and understand our own. What use is it of ours to know about someone else's best when we could produce our own personal best and celebrate? The funniest revelation in all of this is that we spend time with other people's revelations and then complain about their own outcome for instance: Why did she wear that? What did she sing that song for? The should have...; I was expecting them to do..., and I could go on. Do we focus on other people's revelations so that we can criticize their worth or value in our own beliefs? If you find yourself doing this regularly I suggest that you take some time to spend some moments with just yourself and determine how to create your own revelations that will make you proud. The feelings of achieving that success will far out weigh any thoughts of something that is not your own.

What is your revelation for the day? Mine is getting closer to the truth!

Expectations

When you expect a day of greatness you get just that in your life. Too many times we are unsure of our reality in every situation that we begin to expect the worst. I have chosen to expect that all things in my life are filled with greatness by giving thanks for every single thing.

My generation is born from a culture of expecting things to go wrong. Because of distrust, deception, and greed the lack of confidence in our own hearts has put a damper of the creation of expectations of greatness. Fortunately, the African American culture has reached some hope with the election of a trusted man who has a family that clearly has expected to have the very best things happening in their lives.

My choice is to walk each and everyday living in faith by believing that everyone is for me and my growth because I am for them and their growth. Because I am demonstrating the very best inside of me I choose to only see the very best that is inside of you for searching for the evils of life will not be a hard find. Just as easy to locate something not worthy of my presence I seek easily to find the treasures of life. We say they are hidden, but they truly are really inside our view once we clear our "lenses" of sight.

Everyone was born into this world with beauty and greatness. Years of lies have created a shadow of doubt that has been passed down for generations. Let us remove the blinders from our sight and see the greatness that is within all whether it is deeply within or shining brightly on the outside. Give the gift of love today even if it is only for yourself.

New Knowledge

So much new Knowledge has passed along the way since we last met, now what to do with it?

Beginning with the last day of events I must say it was filled with life's messages about greatness. Now you may think this is about the Lakers and their championship victory, but it is more about the championship in my life everyday. This championship resonates in everyone's lives everyday yet we are so quick to recognize it in others that we limitedly diminish the light from our own.

My first victory yesterday began when I woke to continue my morning routine after a long and celebratory evening just prior. This routine consists of being awake and ready (mentally) at 4:00 a.m. though I had just laid my head down three and half hours before. As my egoic mind wanted desperately to continue to sleep it had also began to say, "Oh you can just go to service on Wednesday, and break your streak of going every Sunday you are in town...one Sunday won't hurt..." As I continued through my routine, I was very thankful that my daughter was in the other room resting as if she had been away my duty would have been to be at the early morning service causing me to leave my home to be at service at 6:30 am.

When the time came to get up and out I was greeted with a friendly smile as Pooh wanted to see her friend that makes her smile and wanted her to sing. The morning routine of getting ready was simplified with the thoughts that I get to hang out with some cool people and go to choir today. Arriving at service was simple also as I found a parking space immediately, which on some occasions could be difficult due to the eagerness of the crowd. I put on a t-shirt and jeans, some flip flops and pulled back my hair. I got a jacket in case it was chilly inside. Grabbed my favorite girl and we took off for a great adventure.

As I listened to the message from the guest host "Mary" I was receiving my congratulations to myself. The victory was being won with each word she spoke so much that a fear tears began to well in my eyes as I realized that I am really on the journey and the right path is looking brighter each day. She outline a goal that I had already been pursuing, which lead to a reassurance that I am going in the right way. All I could do was say, "Thank YOU!" because I knew, just knew deep down that I was in the right here right now moment of having all my needs met.

The new Knowledge that I received is really not all that new in words, but yet new in thinking. As I continue on my journey to greatness, I will practice like Kobe Bryant and visualize my life's living as he does a basketball going through the hoops. I will make the right decision about my life's living as does D-Fish and Farmar and Shannon Brown so eloquently pass the ball to the hands that will deliver the next shot. I will stand by my commitment on both sides of the fence like Ariza defending the ball and denying anyone who attempts to keep it too long away from the right direction of the home team basket. I will stand in the center and deliver my gifts of love and light as does Odom and Gasol guide the basketball with their enormous height and commanding presence. I will seek the clarity and understand that voice from within as it preaches to me the directions to turn especially when I ask like Phil does when he points or mentions an impeccable word! I will remain graceful when I don't get the message clearly the first time, but I will keep doing the growing again and again as the product gets better and better just like Howard and the Magic and the teams before who continue to strive for the excellence as champions in the end of a series not in the end of a life!

See I am committed to using my new Knowledge to be the champion and to celebrate in parade style fashion. And as I celebrate with my garb and smiles I do it just like my sister who walked gracefully down the aisle of success into a new journeys of excellence with her cap and gown, head held high, surround by those who love her unconditionally and cheered so much for success is the gifts of great work! I love you all and will use my new Knowledge to continue to be the very best!

Persistence

At some point and time we need to examine the areas of persistency in our lives and how productive they may be. When I look to the things that I am persistently doing on a daily basis I have to wonder if they are serving a benefit or are they causing me to continuously separate myself from my true spirit. As we approach a changing season in with the weather I take time to refresh and renew analyzing the circumstances and persistence in my life. What needs to be changed will be change only to leave the remain to look very new as it continues to thrive.

Thank you for reading.

Purpose

I am currently reading a book that speaks about the true authenticity of self and concentrates on the growth developing because of a need to define our purpose in life. I agree with this connection because I believe it is necessary to determine your purpose as to guiding your life. Determining your purpose can be a journey that stretches a lifetime when carefully drawn plans are created and followed.

Take a moment and develop your purpose...

Achievement

Right now I want you to take a moment and outline your latest achievements in the past week. Take about 5 minutes to jot down exactly what comes to mind when you think of yourself and your own personal achievements. It doesn't matter how small or how large as long as you jot them down with confidence because the achievements belong to you.

After you have completed that take another 5 minutes to write out the achievements of someone you admire. Think about the people you work around or come into contact with on a regular basis. What is it that this person or persons have accomplished that deserve recognition and acknowledgment from you?

Once you have finished both tasks make a phone call to the person you admire and share with them your achievements for the past week and tell them specifically what you wrote about them. This process alone will create a force-field of greatness that cannot be penetrated by anything but more appreciation.

As I complete this blog for the evening I say to you thank you for reading and I truly appreciate everything about you.

Love you all!

Making A Plee for Living Life!

Humans complicating the simplest things that life has to offer. We have constantly place images and material things at our daily forefront of accomplishments. Media images of what we should look like, how we should dress, what we should say, and how we should feel are just ploys to further mask the true you inside.

No instruction manual is provided for us when we are born or is it? We are born naked into the world after removal of our nutrient supply from our mothers that transported multiplying cells from our fathers. We take a gasp at the air supply and begin to use our bodily functions immediately. Our brains instinctively tell our bodies to rest after the journey of great travels. It reminds us that nourishment still comes from our mothers until we are strong enough to find food on our own. We innately know that survival is temporarily dependent on our connection with others, but totally based upon our own will to move on. Our voices are heard loudly as the cries and whimpers of our needs are calculated into a receiving benefit. Our bodily waste system is regularly depositing things that no longer serve us, and we have no desire to keep it inside.

So how do we continue on through life moving further and further away from our natural being. We hide behind our clothes as if to say our physical structure is not worthy of display. Our worth becomes the value of the label not the magnificent creations and automatic works of our biological system. We are fed false energy by the substitute from our mother in the forms of other animals and chemically created products when we remove the natural process of nursing our young. We transfer that responsibility of providing nourishment to outside sources that are typically not natures gifts, but yet a byproduct of another living creature. This instantly makes us disenfranchised with our mothers as our cries and whimpers go unanswered or transmitting falsified truths. We hold on to the waste in most instances with a hope that we will some how changes its outcome. The question is why do we resist natural changes in an attempt to change someone or something else?

As I leave you with this thought I say we must research the manual of life by going back to the simple basics and capturing the greatness within. I pledge today to be so strong that my peace of mind is filled with the knowledge that I am forever learning how to be my true self in a world of contradictory scenes. My pathway is through love! Enjoy!

Mastery

Each day we embark on a quest to master this thing that is called life. When I wake each morning I begin the process of connecting with my inner spirit through a series of meditation exercises that require focus. My goal is to be proficient in mastering the deeper connection to my inner voice so that I may hear the guidance necessary for my life.

I continue to the next step of expressing gratitude for the day ahead and in relations to the greatness that has already occurred. I enjoy the growing daybreak as the rooms gradually get lighter and lighter. After a yoga stretch or two I marvel in the fact that I have a child to wake shortly after I have affirmed the greatest thing I know that I am here for a purpose and I will create the most magnificent day of my life.

To touch her shoulder in an attempt to wake her little sleeping soul is a feat in itself as I am usually greeted with the grouchiness of not being able to do exactly what her mind intends to do, continue to sleep. Usually at this point I am tackling her spirit to get her out of bed to start the day of queens. Sometimes the music playing in the background helps her to become more attentive.

Packing my lunch, preparing her breakfast, and escaping out the door is an exciting moment as we are in a hurry to get the famous bus stop. My thoughts often are, "How do I end up hurrying when I have been up since 4 a.m.?" The answer can be attributed to the fact that I have yet to master the end routine because I am still learning that I will never master anyone else...even if I did birth this child :)

Mastery is a process that is continuously happening. When you think you have mastered the plan there is always more to be learned...Never think the journey is over once you feel that you have mastered the process...I promise you will continue to learn more.

Enjoy!

Celebrations!

This weekend was filled with love in the air and lots of gratitude being expressed for the representation of what we call Mother's Day. I often wonder how does the rest of the world celebrate motherhood, and find it interesting that as a western society we pick single days in the year to make a particular role or event significant. Isn't there a better way to do this I ask?

After the Christmas holiday season I questioned why everyone can be so jolly and happy just at this time of year when everyone has a choice to celebrate life everyday in the same way. It was then that I officially declared to celebrate everyday like it is a holiday. Each day is created to live the best life isn't that enough of a reason to celebrate. Who said we have to wait until our birthdays or graduations to have festivities and gifts? I enjoyed my day with my mother and family on the "designated" day of the year to celebrate. I especially enjoyed watching my daughter prepare for creating a gift and keeping it a surprise for me on this day.

We, as a family, spend lots of time together playing a Money Game, watching the Lakers win or lose, just plain lounging around the house. Isn't this a celebration?

Let us step out of the box and create a new habit making everyday a holiday worthy of celebration. Tomorrow plan a birthday party of the next two weeks. After all, everyday is a new day is born so why not celebrate. Send a gift to someone now instead of waiting to give it to someone on Christmas, which is a day that is designated to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. What are we getting gifts for? Better yet, why do we have trees in our houses, and believe it is snowy when Jesus was born in the desert?

Celebrate each and every day you are not promised tomorrow so do the best you have with what you've got right now!

Procrastination

The word procrastination has crept upon me this evening and of a few evening of late. I have spent hours playing a mindless game that has taken my time away from being productive in other areas. I must manage my goals and move accordingly and schedule this leisure time of "game" playing to find a connection to my overall well-being.

In order to remove an area of procrastination from my life I cut out the television in most instances except to enjoy an episode of The Game on the CW every Friday night. I occasionally peak at the Lakers to check on a few players and their success. With great success I have shifted my activities to spending more time with my daughter, reading books, writing books, and a host of other things I enjoy.

As a way of finding procrastination more productive in my life I began to notice the thoughts that run through my head. Mostly chatter from conversations throughout the day develop in my mind. The conversations that lack inspiration I am able to change the chattering noise in my mind to a positive affirmation so that I don't linger in that moment of wonder and why? This act alone changes my focus to a happier place as I am beginning to take great care for myself and embrace others for just who they are without mentally changing them into who I want them to become.

So is procrastination a benefit in some way? I will say yes, only because it reminds me that I need to get to it (hence the late hour for this post).

Authenticity

I am currently reading a great book called, "Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken," and it really has my mind open to the thoughts of who is my authentic self. With the excessive advertising and media displays of what life is to be for all I wonder how much of who we think we ought to be really is who we truly are?

Let's take a few questions to see where you may be in the process of being authentic:

1. How do you handle things that you are afraid or pose fear in your life?

2. Do you confidently express your feelings even in instances where others create a "negative" opinion?

3. Do you search for solutions or continue to ponder the problems?

4. Have you defined a plan for how you will live your life and then follow that plan with effective activities?

5. Is your life about having fun and enjoying each moment of your life?

6. What is your definition of freedom, peac, and happiness?

As you answer these questions and more I want you to think about how authentic are your answers.

Let me know your thoughts.

Activities to Make a Day Great

A GREAT day is planned once close your eyes to rest at night. One way to ensure that your day is great is to simply write out one thing that you accomplished during the day that really made you feel good. This could be something as simple as walking to the bathroom if you really have to search for something. I know you can find at least one thing that made you smile throughout your day. As you begin to fall asleep your dreams and aspirations will be directed to think about good things because that was the last thought in your mind before you closed your eyes.

The next thing you can do to ensure that you have a GREAT day is to wake in the morning and say an affirmation that will motivate you. I wake and say several affirmations, but the most powerful one that I use is: Today is the best day of my life because I am alive and breathing able to enjoy everything around me. I repeat this to myself so many time until I am truly feeling the words I am speaking.

Lastly, to enjoy a GREAT day I make a commitment to do everything I can to the best of my abilities. I make it a point to complete all of my tasks as if I were on stage in a live performance with thousands of people prepared to give me a standing ovation for a job well done. Doing everything to the best of my abilities makes me feel great because I know nothing can change the success I feel inside. No matter the outcome on the surface, my best always prevails.

Have a peaceful day!

Activity

Interestingly enough my most intriguing activity of late has been to take care of me and really find what I love to do. I am reminded of my genuine love for fun and have now removed the barriers leading to what I love to do. It is funny how certain events or activities can steer you in a direction where you operate out of fear, but then something magnificent occurs and sending you back on the path that guides through love.

With an optimistic mind I travel through my days living, laughing and loving everything I come in contact with. My actions and activities reflect moments of serenity join me in my quest.

Law and Order with Faith and Confidence

I was a faithful viewer of the show Law and Order because it was so intriguing to watch the characters sequentially solve the cases. With the additional versions of the show being added over the years it was a pleasure to watch the format remain the same. I am now able to compare Law and Order to my life in a more meaningful way because the analogy of the series is that it has achieve years of continued success because it obediently follows the universal laws so effectively there is no need to change.

I now look at law and order from a totally universal perspective. If we can plug into a wall and there be light, or we can talk to each other via air waves all following laws of order then I know I am plugged into the law of being connected to God for infinite power and anything else I desire...I am using my connection to the universal law of love and giving to stay connected to God.

Using my connection appropriately by law and order requires me to stay faithful to living the very best life each day in love. Faithful commitment to the laws is what creates the greatness or failures of life. If you hold true to your faith in living greatly throughout this life time you will be continuously rewarded with the reflected response from the law. For instance, when you dial a number on your cell phone you expect to reach a connection. You have faith beyond measure that your call goes through. If you don't reach the person you intended you don't question the law about why it didn't work, you question yourself if you dialed the correct number. Life is the same way except we use our lives in operations that are not in accordance with the universal laws. You are connected at all time and just have to have faith that there is no interruption. You just dialed into the wrong frequency, but easily can be redirected to the right life line.

You are able to stay connected when you have the confidence that you are connected and can never lose this connection. Today, use your life to let your connection stand strong providing a frequency that is so harmonized because your confidence knows this to be true!

Live, Laugh and LOVE!

Memory

What is memory? I use my memory in the future by determining what I would like for people to remember about me, leaving a lasting memory. This year I have attended memorial services for individuals that were very meaningful in my life. The memories that were shared are priceless because each one touched my heart and the hearts of many in ways that remain original to the source. I want to use my life to create the same types of lasting memories that each person who is now deceased created for myself and others.

Steps to creating lasting memories:

  1. Live a life that is full of love
  2. Contact family and friends to remind them of how you feel about their presences in your life.
  3. Smile and say kind words to people you come in contact with
  4. Make a choice to live a happy life.
These are just a few steps I will follow today. I moved forward being blessed. I wish for you to have the same. Create!!!

Intelligence

Intelligence is something that everyone is born with from the minute we take our first breath. How do we use the intelligence that we are so freely given? Some take time to develop their learning throughout their entire life while others continuously operate by watching other people do the work to help them get by.

What are some ways you use your intelligence to create a great life?

Wisdom

Per the online dictionary wisdom is defined as: the ability to use one's experience and knowledge to make sensible decisions or judgments. How often do we use our inner voice to generate our wisdom of follow the advice of someone else? Through many images and uses of technology I constantly watch children attempt to develop their "Wisdom" by watching the decisions made by parents, the visuals of television, the audio or radio, and the overall interpretation of the world around them.

Through age we are expected to grow in wiser yet we as adults often still make the same decisions that have created harm and strife in our lives. Choose today to make a change and create wisdom in the decisions you make in everything you do. This will model to the world that the decision to make sensible and sound judgments will enhance everyone's way of life.

Go this day and be filled with wisdom for the good of yourself and the world around.

Guidance

Guidance is a mechanism that is born with us from within. As babies we are powerful in that we use our guidance to cry when we desire something or have an inherent need. How amazed we become when we hear of a story of a baby surviving on its own after being abandoned neglecting to realize that the internal system of life provides the strength for the strong to survive.

As we continue to grow through our childhood and adolescent years the reliances on outside guidance become more apparent as adults make every attempt to create a safe pathway into the existing society and culture. Is this process of parenting a successful way of guidance especially considering that most parents have been misguided themselves?

Now that we are adults we search for different ways to be guided to live our lives and continue with neglecting our naturally embedded guidance system inside. Your inner voice and spirit always guides to the correct things that will benefit your life even when you don't intentionally ask for the assistance. We are taught to ignore the greatest navigational system created [our minds] to rely on television, music, psychologist, therapist and the like to create images of what is best for us to do and live.

Can you image a world that is guided using their inner navigational system to enjoy the most happy life? Take a minute today to listen to your natural guidance system and truly hear what it has to say.

Non-Resistance

As I am enjoying a few days of rest from my service position at the schools I find myself still in education mode, but in a good way. I am having the time of my life accepting that life is just meant to have fun even when we resist that from happening. I sat and observed three little ladies struggle and resist giving into each others demands. I found myself resisting the pure desire to engulf the moments as they come feeling the need to be in total control and "responsible" for all the actions around.

All the time it is better to full enjoy the moment and to begin to have an attitude of non-resistance. I move forward with my day taking in all the possibilities knowing that they are created for me to have the most wonderful time. The best time is totally possible since I am at the Happiest Place on Earth (where ever I am!) ;)

Good Will

Having good will towards others increases your life of happiness and peace. When you are able to provide moments of good for someone else you essentially provide moments of good for yourself. When you give for the sake of giving you operate in a mindset of abundance. Only when you realize that you have everything to gain by share does good will exist.

Last night I experienced just how powerful good will works with a game that I played with the family. At the beginning of the game a person had an opportunity to give to charity, but chose against it because she truly didn't understand how it would benefit her in her quest to gain. I knew that giving would increase your chances of increasing your wealth, however, I chose to only share a limited amount of information about charity that led her to pass it by. This act alone was not showing good will, though my method was not due to lack. I was not consciously operating in good will.

There came another opportunity to share good will with the players of the game and I took that chance quickly to explain how things would be of a great benefit for the people to live better lives based upon the game. This left me with a feeling of giving and happiness and removed a feeling of competition or hoarding the information for my own personal gain causing someone to have to look for the answer themselves.

Some times it could be beneficial for the person to work toward the answer, but when they do ask for help or you can find a way to help them do it full out for yourself and rest that what you shared is from an act of good will.

Go on in life today sharing good will with others it will make amazing improvements for you.

Enjoy!

Peace

An inner peace has taken over me as I am more focused and in tune with my spiritual practice. The only way I can describe this feeling is that I know that everything is alright at every moment. I understand that everything is right at hand just waiting to be imagined.

Everyone has a journey to fulfill their life with happiness and peace. What steps do you take to create your own peace? Just like we must eat to nourish our bodies we to must feed our minds with the proper nutrients to grow. The illusion is that school teaches our minds, yet, there are so many that are failing to learn the lessons. Home is another place where the mind is fed, but many times the teachers are unaware of their credentials and pass on the same lessons learned that have proven to be detrimental to ones health.

What can we do to develop better practices to feed the mind with the right things that will create happiness and peace? I desire to see a world that is peacefully creating happiness for all together in harmony appreciating all that is surrounding right now in this right space because in the next lifetime may be too late.

I am enjoying my inner peace. I wish the same for you!

Love all,

Byrd

Reminders

I will be the first to admit that everyday is not as perfect as it seems. There are times when some cleansing of the soul is needed. The question is how many times do we actually take the moments necessary to reach our soul and lift us from an imaginary place of discomfort? Taking the time to connect with oneself and hear the voice inside makes the discomfort go away if we have the courage to listen to what is being said.

Going to find yourself within is truly necessary to do when you have experienced some type of trauma. When I say trauma that could mean taking on someone else's problems as your own. For instance, I heard and dealt with the abuse of a child, the death of a loved one, a hospitalized loved one, physical fighting for no apparent reason, and total disoriented behaviors of adults who are guiding children to live their best life. After a few days of this type of situation I began to internalize this and make it my own causing actions in my own life to travel on the frequency of negativity.

I am thankful for my daily practice of meditation, yoga, and communicating in a positive thought process as I have surrounded myself with the right thinking to become better and raise myself from a low moment. Today I go and examine the world with clear vision that with love and kindness I can generate the peace that I desire. I may be in meditation for the majority of the day, and when I see the sun rise or the greenest grass today I will be reminded that all is well in this world especially within me.

Enjoy each day as if it were you last. Take time to tell someone how much they mean to you today. I want you all to know that I love you and enjoy your contributions to my life :)

Have a Magical Monday!

Creating Better Thoughts

Each day I have a daily routine of meditation, affirmations, gratitude and yoga. This is to primarily ground myself to set up a great day ahead. I do this to prepare my mind on the best things about life. As this become a habit instead of chores I find myself having to adjust my mind to do what I need to do without any excuses.

During our lifetimes we have made things leading to our greatness something optional. Lisa Nichols says, "Before she [I] knew about the law of attraction, [I] knew about the law of no matter what." Living your life in the "no matter what" sets your mind to do everything you desire. I woke and completed my meditation when my "ego" said I could just do the nighttime yoga with the 20 minute tape. I am thankful to have a trained mind to focus and get the yoga completed now!

Take charge of your life and do the things you think you are too tired to do! When you contribute to your greatness, great things will come. When you move through life living optionally you miss out on your blessings. Have a fantastic day!!!! :)

When the Past Becomes Your Present

With the craze of the internet and modern technology connections like no other have emerged in enormous ways. Within the last year I have been reconnected with friends from my early elementary years through college and current daily life. I am truly amazed to see the success of many and have found new ways to build on the relationships from the past.

The statement, "People come into your life for a reason," is an understatement for me as the lessons I was taught in life have truly come full circle revealing the greatness of just how powerful relationships really are to creating the very best life.

To those who are in my present and come from my past I thank each of you for all that you have brought to my life. It has been rich and fulfilling with no regrets at all. I have taken each lesson and, at some point, learned just how special you are in my life.

I appreciate you for all that you do. Many thanks and sincere love!

To Live and Love

The question was asked when do you give up waiting to be connected with your soul mate? My reply was simply, "Never! To give up is to quit is to die! Always believe and remember to ask and you shall receive. ;)" The response was easily given with the lack of hope and belief that this is possible so it would be easier to give up and live without disappointment hence my response, "Giving up is not to live it is letting go that allows us to live. Letting go frees the mind from the prison that is self creating. Remember that living means to remove the barriers that we create in our own minds about how things are suppose to be. Life's disappointments are opportunities for creativity and lessons learned. In most cases the disappointments are not about the actions that are present, but more of the lack there of understanding of the lesson prepared. So with that said what is the lesson we all need to learn. I am reminded to live my life to the fullest every moment all the time! How are you join me? Ditto...dream happily with love!"

Do you believe you have a soul mate? Are you with your soul mate now? I know there are questions around if they really exist, but I truly believe that we have them we just don't wait around long enough to receive them. Soul mates are the blessings that God has for us however many times we think we are the ones that are in control of the choices to know who is divinely right for us. I know my soul mate exists, and I send him praises every single day. I know he receives them each time I share with him my prayer for our lovely life together. I have summoned him to existence and I know that he is rapidly on his way to me right now! Thank your for reading! Live, Laugh and LOVE :) Okay for real goodnight.

When You Know Love is So Beautiful

I received the video from Vimeo http://vimeo.com/2703649 that is of President Obama and Michelle Obama that is a total display of the love that they share with each other and with their family. I am so very much in love with this video because it is a symbol and sign that there is love out there and that they have built a relationship that is so very powerful.

When you see them at appearances together and apart you feel the energy they both possess, and within that energy is a respect that is so honorable and genuine. I am truly inspired by their love. It reminds me that there is love and mine is inside of me being shared with the world as I am connected with my mate.

Today live your life in love!

To Tenure or Not to Tenure

I agree with the statement I heard earlier, that tenure is a system that has been earned by those who have demonstrated they have been in the profession for a certain number of years. The reality is that if a system earns tenure based upon years and not on performance then we have a mute point on how we can assess and retain the best and brightest in the profession. The children deserve more than just someone who has earned the number of years of service and our system of STULL is not the greatest in dealing with people who slip through the cracks. To blame this process solely on the fault of administration not evaluating people before they reach tenure is not a fare judgment. Many times administrators inherit these problems because people are more concerned about saving someone's job and helping to keep a full time staff roster than finding and retaining professionals that actually believe the children can learn.

Now I have compassion for adult who are working to better educate the students. These are the people who have gained tenure and still are working to perfect their craft. They are working with updated technology to communicate with parents and utilize all available resources to provide students with a quality education. These individuals who have earned their tenure should be commended and receive bonuses for their contribution to society.

Realistically we have a work force that has true professionals and staff members who need to refocus their efforts to becoming more effective with classroom practices. Stop with the complaining and find the solutions to make the student's become better in every way. The job of an educator is very complex, but like the old saying goes on George of the Jungle, "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it!"

Enjoy!

The Great Progression Part 1

What recession? Day after day I hear people speaking of this recession and how bad the economy is. The threats of pink slips and the loss of jobs while the big business companies hoard funds to make gains. Well in my mind there is no recession just creation of more new ways to live. Like Lisa Nichols so eloquently put it on Sunday, March 15, 2009, "You can have your recession cause I don't want it!" I believe I am in a Progression...a simple refocusing of my finances to provide the greatest good for myself, family and others. If the critics blame it on Obama helping to create this situation then I will take it :).

In order to make changes we must embrace the things we are confronted with. Let us focus on the positive creative nature we have inside and think of ways to make our financial situations better for the world. In times where changes occur, we begin to focus on ways of improvement hence my thoughts on progression considering we don't want to go backwards. If we take time to look at history we have survived and thrived in many cases before where we had to stand in line to receive food rations or park in line and sleep in cars to receive gas. We are no where near that state nor will it take long for us to mentally begin the progression.

Let's take time to think about the message we are sending to ourselves and the world and focus on building a better and stronger economy that services all people including the rich as we all are deserving and worth of wealth.

Enjoy!!!!! Welcome this PROGRESSION period where we help OBAMA, ourselves and the world move into a greater dimension of economics.

Volunteer Students

As I wind down the evening of such a great day I must continue to move forward in the process of reaching the intended target group of the book. I am offering 10 free books to students or parents of students currently in grade 8. I would like to sponsor these students throughout the entire high school experience with great hopes that by following the suggestions in the book they will exceed all expectations and live their dreams. As a reward for following the plan throughout the four years of high school each student will receive a minimum of $100 in a scholarship to be used for college tuition or career preparation. Additional prizes, rewards, and trips may be included for the selected students.

You may nominate one student currently in the 8th grade by writing two paragraphs describing how this student can benefit from the book.

Students will be selected to apply for sponsorship on Friday, May 1, 2009. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have successfully been accepted to and enrolled in a college or career program on or after September 2013. More details will be available on March 31, 2009.

Please begin nominating students now!

Utilizing the Gifts

Today is a phenomenal day as usual. I woke this morning in quite a rush moving through various activities with the notion of getting everything completed NO MATTER WHAT! I focused my thoughts through meditation and continued with expressions of gratitude. As I progressed through my morning routine after Yoga I was drawn to visit a particular website. I was anxious to update this blog with the picture of the cover of my new book. After cropping and saving files I uploaded to the site.

An inside voice kept telling me to visit the Barnes and Noble site. Once there I typed the title of my book into the search box and miraculously my book came up. I started to scream and shout all while jumping around the room. I actually woke my daughter from a drowsy sleep to share in the excitement of the news. This moment at 6:28 a.m. on March 17, 2009 has a new meaning altogether different than a St. Patrick's day celebration because on this day I realized a life-long dream of becoming a published author. Now after reading countless books and stories from great like Judy Blume, Beatrix Potter, and The Brother's Grim in my early years, I too would join the ranks of a published authors whose book is available online.

Though, this is the first of many projects that I intend to share with the world these works of art will provide an opening to my heart as I let the words from inside become my guide. I sit right now comforted in the fact that I am a great contributor to the welfare and well-being of the community I serve.

Today is a great day and I am marveled inside with joy of being complete. Enjoy!

Thoughts for the Day!

I once read a post to an online group asking for the opinion of whether we would ever have a universal health care plan in the United States. This questions caused me to think about more than just asking the question, but coming up with solutions and answers to these thoughts. Most of the responses were "no," and the explanation of the reasons why, however, there were a few who thought it would be possible with constraints. I did pose a question as to how do we resolve this issue and get our voices heard especially since we have this wonderful tool of techonolgy available to us.

After much thought about my post I began to think about a question I have been asking myself and others lately. With the state of public education in America and the apathy that children have towards school, what can we do as educators to make the learning environment a better place? As a teacher, dean of students, and administrator I have been pegged as a person who listens to the kids over the adults, or that I always side with the children. This is true to every extent in that I believe that the words that children speak are just reflections of their hearts. They believe that they need to be nurtured by the very adults that are responsible for them. They want the same love and consideration that many of the adults I work with desire for themselves. Many of my adult colleagues have similar child-like desires and needs that remind me of children.

My solution or answer to this question is multifaceted in that I challenge each and everyone that is responsible for the life of a child in any capacity to find a way to connect with a child and provide them with the love, care and concern they deserve to feel whole. Put aside your ego of being the adult and knowing more than what a child can offer you to really hear their desires and how we can make this world a better place. The same children that you fail to connect with will be responsible for helping to make sure that the world we live in is a better place. It is time we start treating them as capable beings instead of society rejects.

Remember to take time to help someone to become a better person. In doing so you will make a better you!

Enjoy!
